Who protects water? Clean water is essential to healthy communities, strong economies, and a sustainable environment. Yet the people who protect our waterways and public health often work behind the scenes.
The Value of Water Feature Film is a feature-length documentary and video campaign produced by the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association in partnership with Denver Film Company. Through cinematic, human-centered storytelling, the film highlights the people, innovation, and infrastructure that make clean water possible across Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
The project aims to tell the human story behind our clean water – the people who make it possible through dedication, sacrifice, innovation, and advocacy.
This film is currently in production, with strong momentum and participation from organizations across the region, including the Colorado Senator Cleave Simpson, Navajo Nation, Colorado State University, South Platte Renew, Aurora Water, Cheyenne and Green Mountain, Wyoming, the Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems, and more.
The film is anticipated for release in early 2027.
