Water Environment Federation



Headquartered near Washington, D.C., and formed in 1928, the Water Environment Federation (WEF) is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization that serves more than 30,000 individual members and 75 Member Associations (MAs) representing water quality professionals around the world. Since 1928, WEF and its members have protected public health and the environment. 

WEF’s Mission:

  • Connect water professionals
  • Enrich the expertise of water professionals
  • Increase the awareness of the impact and value of water
  • Provide a platform for water sector innovation

As one of WEF’s MAs, RMWEA serves the Rocky Mountain region consisting of New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado.
