Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee tracks pending legislation and regulations which impact the water and wastewater industry at the local, state and national level. Members of the committee actively participate in stakeholder meetings for various regulations, prepare regulatory updates for the membership, and participate in development on regulations and policies.

Support WEF’s Government Affairs Committee Priorities
Participation in CDPHE stakeholder meetings
Coordination with Colorado Wastewater Utility Council
Recruit members for WEF’s Water Advocates Campaign
Participate in the annual National Water Policy Fly-In to meet with members of congress and discuss water infrastructure needs
