Educational Grant

 

Each grant is for $2500, and is awarded yearly by the RMWEA.* The grant also entitles the award recipients to a one-year complimentary student or associate membership in the RMWEA.

The awards are based on academic performance and demonstrated interest in environmental protection. The aim of the grant is to encourage and provide incentive for capable and motivated individuals to pursue or continue their studies in the advancement of water environment protection and to enhance and promote the quality of their performance as environmental professionals.

BILL MARTIN EDUCATIONAL GRANT
 

The Bill Martin Educational Grant Fund was established in September 2002 to honor and memorialize Bill Martin, who passed away on August 7, 2002, after serving a distinguished career in the water environment profession. This fund was created to encourage graduation high school students who wish to pursue higher education in the water environment field by providing an educational grant at his/her college or university.

This educational grant is for graduating high school students, enrolling in a 2- or 4-year college or university for study related to the water environment profession. The Applicant must be a high school senior from Colorado, Wyoming or New Mexico in good standing, who has applied to a college or university with the interest of pursuing an environmental career. The student winner must show proof of enrollment in the environment-related program at the college or university for fall 2021 to receive an educational grant.  Grants are paid directly to the students’ account at their school.

Submittals are due by June 15, 2023.

TONY CAMPMAN  EDUCATIONAL GRANT

 
The Tony Campman Educational Grant was established in 2006 to honor and memorialize Tony Campman, after serving a distinguished career in the water environment profession. This fund was created to encourage students who wish to pursue higher education in the water environment field by providing an educational grant at his/her college or university. 

This educational grant is for an existing student from Colorado, New Mexico or Wyoming who is currently attending a 2- or 4-year university or college or a resident of the above mentioned states who is an existing student pursuing studies toward a masters or PhD  in the water environment profession (e.g., biology, environmental science, engineering with a strong emphasis in water/wastewater treatment, water pollution control, or environmental protection).  The applicant must be officially enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college or university for fall 2021. Grants are paid directly to the students’ account at their school.
