Career Opportunities

The public education committee meets approximately once a month in various locations throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. Please call the committee chair to find out when and where the next meeting is. We are always happy to have new people attend our meetings

The goals and activities of the committee include the following:

  • Judge Wyoming State Science Fair - February

  • Judge Colorado State Science Fair - April

  • Judge New Mexico State Science Fair - April

  • Select Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) State Representatives - May

  • SJWP National Competition - May/June

  • Participate in Science Teacher Association Fair

  • Educate the Educators - The committee distributes educational materials including The WEF Water Sourcebook Curriculum, pamphlets, posters and videos to educators in Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming.

  • The committee provides information to the general public to inform and educate concerned citizens on water and wastewater processes, reuse, and the water cycle.

  • The committee works to coordinate and inform the general public of career opportunities in the Water Quality Field.

We welcome participation, questions and suggestions from all RMWEA members for any or all of our activities.
