NMIC Mission: Dedicated to carrying out the mission of the
RMWEA/RMSAWWA through membership. Pursue water and wastewater issues
through: education; providing a technical resource; providing a means
for networking; and promoting the importance of water resources.
NMIC is currently meeting the 2nd Thursday
of every month from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the offices of Camp
Dresser & Mckee, Inc., 6000 Uptown Blvd. NE, Suite 200, Albuquerque, NM
87110
The monthly Professional Development (PD) lunch program is
the 4th Thursday of every month currently at the
Golden Corral Family Steakhouse (near Cottonwood Mall), 3401 NM Hwy 528,
Albuquerque, NM (890-3763), 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Look for email notices
on lunch topics. Please e-mail Kathy Fitch (fitchka@cdm.com)
to be included on the NMIC e-mail distribution.

Goals and Objectives – 2009/2010

Work
on membership involvement with existing and new members and
coordinate with Section.

Establish communications committee to develop and maintain an
up-to-date NMIC member database with names and email addresses.

Maintain active and informative Professional Development lunch
programs.

Sponsor Special Water and Wastewater Professional Development
Lunches (May/August).

Continue Water For People Committee.

Continue Operator Coordination Efforts, NMWWA, other.

Develop Student Chapters and participate in current NM Tech chapter.

Participate annually in New Mexico Science Fair (April).

Participate in any local water fairs.

Sponsor 1 or 2 social events.

Develop a more formal NMIC Structure – Standing Rules, Additional
Officers, and Committee Handbook.

Continue additional activities under NMIC: Membership, Social
Activities, Communication, Publications, Special Conferences,
Utility Council, and others.
