2016 Division II Champions!!

It is with great honor and excitement that RMWEA would like to congratulate Metro’s Elevated Ops for their 1st place finish in Division II at the 2016 National Operations Challenge competition. Team members include: Coach Orren West, Captain Kelsey Gedge, Matt Duncan, Lance Wenholz, and Josh Mallorey. Their captain, Kelsey provided a statement:

“As a 2nd year team we consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to represent the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association with a first place finish. We have had great support from our management, and the comradery and competition within our region has been amazing. Even before we had a team the Commode Commandos from Little/Englewood WWTP were very supportive and encouraging. Our coach, Orren West came to the District from the City of Austin with countless years of Operations Challenge experience. He provides us with the vision and the framework to compete at a high level. It is from the help and support we receive along with a lot of hard work and dedication that we are able to perform the way we have. We are excited for the opportunities that Operations Challenge provides us and enjoy the competition.”

Congratulations Elevated Ops! If you are in the Rocky Mountain Region and your organization is considering forming an Operations Challenge team next year, or if you are interested in learning more about Ops Challenge, contact Kacie Allard (kallard@englewoodgov.org) or Orren West (owest@mwrd.dst.co.us
